  3. Applying Techniques
    • Kneading (Petrissage): Use your fingers and thumbs to knead the muscles in a circular motion. This helps release tension and improves circulation.
    • Friction: Apply deeper pressure with your palms or fingers to target specific knots or areas of tension. Use small, circular movements.
    • Tapping (Tapotement): Lightly tap the muscles with the edges of your hands or fingertips to stimulate the area.
  4. Ending the Session
    • Gradually reduce the pressure and return to light, gliding strokes to relax the muscles and signal the end of the massage.
    • Wipe off any excess oil with a clean towel.

  • Always communicate with the person to ensure the pressure and technique are comfortable.
  • Avoid massaging over injuries, open wounds, or areas with severe pain.
